I’ve been playing music most of my life and it’s given me everything I have today. It’s helped me through the most difficult times in my life, allowed me to see parts of the world I never imagined I’d see, and given me moments I’ll carry forever. I met my wife at one of my shows. Some of my favorite experiences include going to concerts with my kids. It gave me a career. Music continues to give back in ways I never take for granted. It continues to teach me things and bless me every single day. You could say Music Is My Religion. I’ve toured and released music in bands for years including two of my own (Dear Enemy and Viasava), but more recently as a touring hired gun for a few different projects. I write and record all of my own music with some special guest players here and there. I feel incredibly fortunate—I’m living my ultimate dream—the ability to write and record music whenever and however I want. Whereafter is the result. This music isn’t for everyone, and it’s not meant to be. I make it for myself first. It’s something I consider a gift to my mental health and personal growth—a way to process, survive, and stay grounded. If other people connect with it, then I think that’s an amazing surreal thing. And if people don’t, I hope they go find other independent artists they love and support them fully.
